Pelletterie 2F is born
Pelletterie 2F is born in 1978 in Castelli Calepio, from the friendship between the two founding partners Franco Marenzi and Franco Cirillo who shared the same values and goals.
1978
The first objectives
The foreign market is the natural vocation – at that time there was the whole world to discover and the Salesman Marenzi immediately chose the European market. The partner Cirillo, a tailor and technician by background, on the other hand, becomes responsible for the production.
1979
The first goal
The 1st Partner Country is the Nederlands, where the demand is very high. Dept. Stores and Importers are in rapid growth.
1980
Ever expanding
Pelletterie 2F progresses and in the 80s’, moved to the actual head-quarter. There’s lot of space and 2F grew and kept expanding: big chains of Dept. Stores in Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, Austria, UK, North and South America.
1991
Investing in the future
At the beginning of the 90s’, the second generation of Marenzi joined the Company: Matteo, more technical, in charge of production, Marco, more versatile, is the link between production and development; Giovanna, more flexible, dedicates to Sales’.
1995
Quality over quantity
In the mid-90s, the market became more difficult with the “invasion” of Chinese products. Prices start to drop and the demand, rises. 2F remains loyal to the Made in Italy, standing out from the majority of competition. 2F immediately chooses to focus on quality and hold on to top-of-the-range customers. It’s the beginning of the approach to a different customer’ base: from popular Dept. Stores to the major international brands, where2F sees the chance to promote premium quality items, where the materials play the leading role.
1995
The future is Made in Italy
Of course, the brands need sourcing and 2F supports investments in new frequent collections, trips to customers headquarters, expanding the Staff to have more dedication to processes. At the same time, it provides large inputs for new machineries to automate at lower costs, although the belts need manual passages because of the nature of its “living” raw materials.
2009
A story of passion and commitment
In 2009, the 3 Marenzi’ kids become partners with acquisition of the shares from the old founder: the management of the company is all of the family. Marenzi Senior continues to be the Financial and Executive officer, that still amuses and entertaisn him at the age of 75!

Official recognition
On march 2009, 2F was granted with the Certificate of Traceability of Made in Italy. The Staff is proud of the achievement and each operator is committed to the common goal.
2017
Environmental certification
On May 2017, 2F receives the first certification for the Environment – ISO 14001. The Staff is proud of the achievement and each operator shares the same values.
2022
The importance of craftsmanship
For over 40 years, the 95% of the product is addressed to Export, between European and American Dept. Stores and Private Labels. The market is more and more competitive but the identity is very defined, there’s deep awareness of the product, strengths and weaknesses are well known and there’s a continuos investment in means and people. The company is eager and has the need and the ability to move forward. The Staff is the real lead actor, who works every day in a team by pursuing a common goal: bring Italian quality all over the world. Problems are a daily issue, but the overall vision pushes the company towards the goal of success: for 2F means being sustainable, producing beautiful belts that last over time, all strictly Made in Italy by Italians, without shortcuts or compromises. In 2F it feels like a family and every 5 years it celebrates a new jubileum. The Company sponsors trips offered to the whole team. To celebrate 40 years, the destinations picked were Vienna and then Prague.
